Bail
Bail means an application to be released from detention of a person detained under United Kingdom Immigration Acts.
If you are detained you may have the right to apply for bail. Persons eligible to apply for bail are:
- Illegal Entrants and persons served with notice of administrative removal
- When detained giving of removal direction
- When detained pending removal after removal directions have been set.
- When detained pending an appeal to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (AIT)
- When detained following recommendation for deportation by a court following criminal conviction.
- When detained having been notified of a decision to make a deportation order
